Hello and welcome to my blog page here on Jo's Tomorrow! In this post I would like to list the many different categories of content I have planned for this blog. I have so much I want to write about, so naturally there will be many different topics of discussion! Here is everything I currently have planned:
Journey To Japan - updates, tips, and insights from the perspective of someone trying to live and study in Japan! I hope to figure out all the hard stuff so I can make it easier for potentially interested future students. examples of topics include: how to navigate the airport on your first visit, how to apply for a student visa, 5 great Japanese study resources, and much more.
Language - study tips and tricks, fascinating facts, and more relating to learning Japanese linguistics. I am currently studying Japanese so that will be my primary topic, however I plan to expand this category to include other languages as I learn them. I plan to add a Japanese Word Of The Week post into the future rotation as well, so stay tuned for that!
Manga - weekly chapter reviews, series retrospectives, and recommendations from yours truly! I have been reading Shonen Jump Magazine on an on-and-off basis for 4ish years now, so I'm pretty savvy on current the current Jump lineup. That said, most of my manga-related posts will be about Jump but every so often I will cover lesser-known artists and other publishers.
Anime - pretty much the same format as the Manga category, just with anime shows and movies. I don't keep up with anime as much as I do with manga, so expect to see mostly retrospectives and recommendations. I will do the occasional episode/season review for currently airing shows but will definitely do more if I find a particularly compelling series!
Music - I occasionally produce music on my spare time, so I will use this category to share snippets of my work as well as news from artists I like and playlists that I have made. I love City Pop, Jazz Fusion, Vaporwave, and the artist Porter Robinson, so expect to see a blend of these things in my Music posts.
Video Games - news, reviews, opinion pieces, and essays concerning the world of video games! I don't play video games very often these days due to my studies and my job, but I'll be sure to cover them in the blog every so often.
